I've been working on a new project for a while now. This is a book that sits outside of the DJ Slaughter series. It is a psychological/horror/thriller titled: Twisted.
Twisted takes place in the real-life college town of Norman, Oklahoma. If you are a football fan, this is the home of the Oklahoma Sooners.
Premise: There's a serial killer on the loose, and newly promoted small town Detective Isaiah Black has to stop them. There's just one problem, he can't tell anyone what's really going on or they'll think him crazy. The killer is murdering people by using others to do their dirty work.
Our villan has a unique ability. They can connect psychically to a person while they slumber. Then, controlling the unsuspecting person's body like a puppet, the psycho uses them to slaughter the innocent, living the moment through the other's eyes, feeling the euphoric rush as they slay another. When they're done, they tuck their puppet back into bed and the person wakes none the wiser.
How do you stop a killer who never leaves their own forensic evidence behind? How do you even figure out who is really doing all the work? For that matter, how do you bring to justice a killer who will never be convicted of their crimes?
Twisted will take you along on a guessing game of trying to learn the killer's true identity. Along the way, you will meet a new cast of characters that will launch this new series, and be reintroduced to a few old ones you have already come to know in the DJ Slaughter series.
